County residents looking for a way to dispose of both household hazardous waste (HHW) and old electronics (E-Waste) safely can drive thru or drop off their items at the next Prince George’s County Department of the Environment (DoE) Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling event.

Location: Friendly High School, 10000 Allentown Road, Fort Washington

Non-commercial items collected at our Acceptance Sites can be dropped off by County residents during this disposal event.

The following materials cannot be accepted: business or commercial waste, biological or infectious waste, hypodermic needles or syringes, radioactive waste, prescription medicine, explosives, ammunition, and unknown items. The onsite staff reserves the right to refuse any item brought to the event.

Some accepted items include oil-based paints, pesticides, herbicides, propane tanks, household batteries, cell phones, and computer monitors. To see a list of other accepted items, visit bit.ly/pgcwastefacilities.

If you cannot make this event, these items can be dropped off at the Brown Station Road Facility on Thursdays.
