2nd Annual "In the Spirit of Community” Awards Recognition and Stakeholder Reception
The Office of Community Relations (OCR) and the Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC) are excited to announce the 2nd Annual “In the Spirit of Community” Together We Rise! Awards Recognition and Stakeholder Reception.
This special occasion recognizes the extraordinary efforts of common ownership communities throughout the county and highlights the stakeholders who serve them.

12th Annual Purple Light Nights Ceremony
The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff will host its 12th Annual Purple Light Nights Lighting Ceremony. This year’s theme is Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Violence Through Solidarity and Unity! There will be speeches, presentations, and opportunities to connect with domestic violence partners. We want to emphasize the importance of stopping the cycle of domestic violence in families and inspire survivors to share their experiences to bring awareness and help other victims.

Green Festival
Join the Prince George's County Department of the Environment, in partnership with the City of Hyattsville and Prince George's County Park and Planning, for its annual Green Festival (formerly known as Green Summit), a FREE, family and pet-friendly day of environmentally focused exhibitors, vendors, kids’ activities, food trucks, music and more.
Location: David C. Driskell Community Park, Hyattsville.
New this year is our upgraded pet pavilion named Pawchella , where you will find information on pet exhibitors and vendors, pet adoptions, licenses, and much more.

Annual Meeting
ELECTRONIC MEETING: In accordance with the Maryland Homeowners Association Act §11B–113.6, The meeting will be held electronically using Zoom. Meeting information was mailed to homeowners or sent via email if homeowners opted-in for electronic notifications.

Movie Night
The Events Committee will host a summer outdoor movie screening of Disney/ Pixar’s "Soul,".
Join us outside of the Clubhouse for a fun and engaging movie for residents of all ages. Bring your own chair or blanket for seating, and we’ll bring the popcorn! The movie screening will conclude by 10pm.
A portion of Phoenix Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic, but will not impede access to driveways.
**Cars parked in the parking tray on Phoenix Drive, between Capital Lane and Santa Fe Boulevard, may be subject to towing/relocation if not removed by the 5pm on Friday, August 8th. “No Parking” signs will be posted near these parking spaces for awareness.

Security Forum
Join the Board as they host a virtual Security Forum. This forum is intended to provide homeowners an overview of the security services provided to our community. Our vendor will be available to answer your questions.

Qualified Data Center Community Meetings
Prince George’s County is studying the potential risks, community benefits, and revenue potential of Qualified Data Center uses. The Qualified Data Center Task Force will explore:
Existing and future local energy demands
Potential impacts on ratepayers and taxpayers in meeting future energy demands
Environmental impact of data centers on air, water, and woodland quality and supply in the County
Impact on the quality of life of areas surrounding data centers To learn more about the initiative, register for one of three community meetings. Each event will cover identical content.

Outdoor Movie Night for residents hosted by the Events Committee
Enjoy a family-friendly movie night under the stars. Bring your own chair, blanket, or other seat, and we’ll bring the movie and the popcorn!


PGCC Juneteenth Block Party
A celebratory Juneteenth Block Party! Participate in fun-filled activities, including yoga and stretching classes, West African dance, an African healing drum circle, and Buffalo soldiers reenactors. There will also be food trucks and a health care village.

Maryland Day 2025 at UMCP
Maryland Day is the University of Maryland’s largest community outreach event. The campus-wide celebration includes over 300 activities in five “learning neighborhoods” that encourage attendees to tap into our fearless world of discovery and new ideas.
There will be interactive demonstrations, performances and workshops showcasing science and tech, the arts, sports, agriculture and more!
Admission and on-campus parking are free on Maryland Day. All events and activities taking place at the event are free of charge.
All on-campus garages and some parking lots will be open, even those usually restricted to UMD permit holders. It is recommended that visitors park at the Xfinity Center, Terrapin Trail Garage or Stadium Drive Garage. There is no fee to park on campus on Maryland Day.
Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided, with buses servicing all main parking lots and garages. Shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible.

Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Disposal Event
Due to ongoing construction at the landfill, residents will be able to drive thru and drop off accepted household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic items.
Open to County residents ONLY (ID may be required)
Commercial vehicles and commercially generated items are NOT permitted.
Multiple trips are not allowed for individuals or vehicles.
Special accommodations can be provided upon request.

This free event is open to the public (non-commercial only) and offers an easy, safe, and secure disposal of personal documents.
Bring up to five (5) boxes of paper per vehicle
